2021 Illinois Evidence-Based Practices Virtual Conference Series: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis: Overview, Efficacy, Implementation

This presentation will provide a treatment overview of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis (CBT-p). We will review the components of this evidenced-based practice and discuss specific adaptations of CBT strategies for psychosis. The presentation will briefly review the efficacy of CBT-p compared to standard treatment. The presentation will also review important aspects of training and implementation including common challenges and benefits. We will provide examples of training approaches for providers in different practice settings (Illinois and Ohio). The presentation will conclude with a summary of recommendations and time for questions and discussion.
