This presentation describes Career Accounts, which are individual budgets used by IPS participants to purchase goods and services to support their job seeking, employment, and career goals. Attend this session to learn what kinds of purchases IPS service recipients make and how what they buy enhances their vocational outcomes. Think about what community resources employment specialists can help participants access to make similar purchases and improve employment experiences. Also discussed will be the research study that is underway by to test the effectiveness of Career Accounts by the University of Illinois at Chicago in collaboration with Thresholds’ IPS teams.
