A Walk In Their Shoes: Anti-Stigma and Naloxone Training

April 30, 2023

Free

This content includes three presentations that share the speakers’ stories of substance use disorder lived experience, including experiences with stigma, harm reduction methods, and medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) / Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) as best practice when possible. A Naloxone training, provided by the Egyptian Health Department, concludes the material. The goal is to increase participants’ knowledge of and awareness of personal and community stigma towards persons with substance use disorders, as well as harm reduction methods and MOUD/MAT as best practice and the corresponding positive impacts on morbidity and mortality rates.
