Adolescent and Opioid Addiction

Jennifer Kershaw Jensen, MSN, APRN-NP, CPNP is a Nurse Practitioner in The Potocsnak Family Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Lurie Children’s Hospital. Her clinical areas of expertise include substance use prevention and treatment as well as care for LGBTQ+ identified youth.

• Attendees will be able to identify risk factors for developing Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)
• Attendees will understand the current trends in opioid use among youth
• Attendees will learn strategies to intervene with youth at risk of developing or having developed OUD
