Please save the date for an in-person conference on December 6^th, taking place at the Peoria Marriot Père Marquette in Peoria, IL, for the Illinois Learning Collaborative to Support Medication Assisted Recovery Implementation for Justice-Involved Populations. Please note that this event is open and free to all individuals interested in attendance with advance registration.

Highlights from the agenda include:

• Update on best practice implementation of medication assisted recovery (MAR) in Illinois County Jails and the Department of Corrections
• Updates on medications for opioid use disorder with the recent FDA approval of new treatment options
• Strategies for community-based partnerships to support persons re-entering their community from incarceration
• Information and update on the SAFE-T Act and strategies to improve identification of and response to persons with SUD and justice system involvement
• Current policy environment and strategies for addressing co-occurring mental health conditions – Presenter Scott Block, Statewide Behavioral Health Administrator

This event is open to anyone who would like to learn more about implementing or expanding medication assisted recovery (MAR) programs in your local jails and county justice system, so please share this information widely with interested stakeholders in your community. We welcome everyone to attend.

As with prior events, we expect representatives of core county teams from grantee jails including members of clinical, custody, and administration teams who support MAR program design and implementation to join. Site champions/leaders are especially encouraged to attend. We know schedules are busy and wanted to get this on your calendar as soon as possible.
