Opioid STR funding opportunity: Recovery Home for Persons with OUD

IDHS/SUPR has released a Notice of Funding Opportunity/Opioid STR-Recovery Home for Persons with OUD, for which IDHS/SUPR has allocated $1 million for expansion of recovery homes services for persons with OUD and is committed to admitting at least 90 unduplicated NEW recovery home clients during SFY 2019.

IDHS/SUPR received grant funding from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in 21st Century Cures Act authorized funding under the State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis Grant (Opioid STR) program. This award has supported a coordinated state effort to address the opioid crisis by increasing access to treatment, reducing unmet treatment need, and reducing opioid overdose related deaths through the provision of prevention, treatment and recovery services for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). IDHS/SUPR requested available carryover funds from Year 1 of the Opioid STR funding be used for additional Recovery Home funding.
