The Illinois Helpline is proud to introduce TEXTING. Those in need of treatment and recovery services and their loved ones can now reach the IL Helpline by texting “HELP” to 833234.*
Text messages to the IL Helpline will receive two automated responses while the texter is being connected with a Helpline Specialist. Those reaching out to the Helpline will receive the same trusted services through text message as they would through a phone call or online chat. Folks can text anything to 833234 and be connected to the services that they need.
Text message services are a critical strategy to expanding the availability of Helpline services, as many potential clients only use mobile phones or require a more discrete method of contacting the Helpline. We look forward to reaching more individuals in need of Helpline services through our text messaging platform.
